How we stay useful to every voter, whoever they vote for.
Last updated September 22, 2026 · draft pending review
- Nonpartisan by design
- We never endorse, rate, rank, or characterize a candidate, party, or ballot measure, in the product, in reminders, or anywhere else. Nothing we offer is conditioned on whether you vote or register.
- What we show about candidates
- The name as filed, the party as filed, incumbency, official contact links, the offices a person has held, and official results. Roll-call votes come from the U.S. House Clerk and Senate. We do not summarise positions or record statements.
- What we show about measures
- The official title, the official summary where the election office publishes one, and a link to the full text. No arguments for or against.
- Where facts come from
- Election offices, state election authorities, and official notices. Every date and deadline links to the exact text it came from, and we say when sources disagree. Some values are state-law defaults until an office publishes its own; those are labelled.
- Prediction markets
- Some pages show prices from third-party prediction markets (Polymarket, Kalshi) for questions that name a candidate. They are labelled as market prices, with a time stamp. They are not forecasts, endorsements, or our view, and questions about parties rather than people are never attached to a person.
- Automation and review
- Software reads official pages and records each fact with the sentence it came from; a fact without a matching sentence is discarded. Disagreements between sources go to a human reviewer.
- Corrections
- If something is wrong or missing, report it from any election or jurisdiction page. Corrections from an administering office are applied first.
